Can someone explain eras like Kalyug, Satyug and what happens after Kalyug?

I understand there are four ages, Satyug, Treta, Duapur and Kalyug. But what I don’t understand is when they began and when do they end, what happens after and how to relate to each one of them as a Sikh? I guess, we are in Kalyug age now, but when did it begin and how long it lasts.

When I used to live in delhi, I used to pass by some Ashram or something like that of "Brahmkumaris". They had a huge display of cycle of Yugas... in which it showed that after the Kaliyug is through, period of Satyug starts again. following is a part of the information I read on web....

In Hindu tradition, the world goes through a continuous cycle of these epochs. Each ascending phase of the cycle from Kali Yuga to Satya Yuga is followed by a descending phase back to Kali Yuga, then another ascending phase and so on. Alternatively, it is sometimes supposed that at the end of the descending Kali Yuga, the world will return to the Satya Yuga, and begin a new decline.

Complete Story. Hope it helps...

thanks for the link Sarvjeet! It is a great info. I loved the link Hindu concept of time which has a tabulation of how this whole time thing works. Looking at this thing, It is amazing how many references in Guru Granth Sahib that interconnect Sikhs to Hindus. Yet, many of us tend to carry negativity and hate towards them. The remark in no way implies that Sikh are Hindus or vice versa, but there is definitely a need for more learning on both sides. This time era is one good example of this learning.
